Meet Dr. Brookes

Dr. Brookes moved to the Milwaukee area in 2015 when his wife Carolyn, a Shorewood native, accepted position at Froedtert Hospital and the Medical Hospital of Wisconsin.  She is an Oral and Maxillofacial (OMFS) Surgeon and is the director of the Medical College’s OMFS residency program as well as the Division Chief of the OMFS department.  He and his family are excited to be part of Shorewood’s vibrant community, and he looks forward to treating you and your family for many years to come.

Dr. Brookes has worked in the field of dentistry for over 20 years. His early experience as a dental technician laid a strong foundation for his career and helps him collaborate with laboratories to deliver to you the highest quality care. While a dental student at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, he worked as a dental hygienist when his school schedule allowed. After graduating from dental school in 2004, he spent 6 years at a family-oriented practice in Massachusetts. When he relocated to North Carolina to be near his fiancée during her residency, he joined a well-regarded, established dental practice. Dr. Brookes further broadened his experience working as a dentist in Australia during his wife’s fellowship in Melbourne.

Dr. Brookes was honored to receive The Massachusetts Dental Society’s prestigious “10 under 10” award, granted to the state’s most promising young dentists. He continues to strive for excellence, and has pursued extensive continuing education throughout his career. He has completed over 200 hours of training focused on implant dentistry alone, and has attained fellow status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Brookes is also a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of Operative Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association and the Greater Milwaukee Dental Association.

Dr. Brookes is passionate about serving others and enjoys using his skills in volunteer capacities. He has participated in dental missions to Haiti, Cape Verde, Mexico, and the Ukraine. He enjoyed serving as president of Project Stretch, a pediatric dental outreach group that has developed clinics throughout the world. While in Australia he took the opportunity to provide emergency dental care to patients of need through the country’s public health system.

In his spare time Dr. Brookes enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, cycling, rowing, skiing, and cooking. You may see him commuting to work on a bike or a skateboard!

Dr. Brookes and his team look forward to providing individualized dental care to you and your family in a comfortable, compassionate environment!
